ASP Batons and Police Batons

The majority of police forces in the UK are issued with ASP batons and this is because of their excellent design, engineering and quality. The ASP name is synonymous with police batons around the world. ASP tactical batons operate using friction lock telescopic tubes and can be deployed instantly. They come in a range of sizes depending on requirements. Although most forces have traditionally purchased steel batons, due to the requirement to reduce the weight officers carry on duty, there has been an increasing demand for the Airweight range of batons that are much lighter.

A good example of an ASP baton is the 21” Black Chrome baton, which is made from 4140 high carbon steel and has a corrosion resistant and durable black finish. These police batons are put through their paces by the world’s most elite police teams and are a top choice for the most advanced police forces.

ASP also produce different end caps for their batons. The Grip Cap provides the officer with greater baton retention ability, while the increasingly popular Leverage Cap not only enables greater baton retention ability but also enables you to hold and operate the baton in a different way. This creates greater strike force and therefore enables officers to control violent offenders with fewer strikes. These are the perfect accompaniment to a police baton.

To support the ASP baton range, ASP produce baton scabbards. These hard polymer baton holders hold the baton firmly in place yet allow for a speedy draw. They are low profile and take up little room on the belt, yet pivot to different angles depending on the personal requirements of the officer.
